Nic O’Brien

Born into a musical family, Nic started learning piano at 7 years old; before deciding to pursue the guitar at age 9. He would spend hours listening to Metallica, practising guitar in his room, and going to music lessons. After Achieving a band 6 in music during the HSC, Nic preceded to get a distinction in Grade 8 electric guitar from the University of West London, and then went on to study and graduate from the Australian Institute of Music.

In recent years Nic has taken up an interest in Baroque and Classical music in his own time and enjoys reading and playing video games; but his passion for music and for the guitar has not changed ever since he first picked it up all those years ago.

Joshua Mejia

Josh recently finished his HSC as a high achiever in music and strives to pass on his passion for music to up and coming guitarists.

He has been playing the guitar for 9 years and has a passion for performing, particularly music from the jazz, rock and fusion genres.

Following his completion of all 8 grades in the RGT Electric Guitar program, Josh has the patience and skill to help students of all levels hone their own skills and explore the world of music.

Aaron Gray

Aaron has been playing guitar for 7 years, recently completing the HSC with a band 6 in music and music extension. He also had the privilege of receiving an ENCORE nomination for one of his extension pieces.

For the past year Aaron has been studying a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and was recently accepted into the highly competitive jazz program there.

Aaron hopes to deliver and build the same level of passion he has for music within his students and feels that his own experience, completing all 8 grades of the RGT Electric Guitar program, has given him the patience and experience needed to make guitar as fun as it should be.
